FIELD The B and C squads had fine years under the direction of Coach Tony Fardella. The B's lost a close meet to San Mateo for their only loss of the entire season. Some of the outstand- ing lightweights were: Ray Abold, who excelled in the pole vault, and the l2O yard low hurdles. Pete Rae, who ran the high hurdles in both the 120 and 70 yard distances. Ken Owen and John Byrd were spectacular in the 660 and l320, while Ron Johnston ran the low hurdles. Also included were Byron Little a sprint man, and Jim Shutz, in the shot put and discus. 107

VARSITY BASEBALL The Varsity Baseball Team proved its perennial strength this summer when it captured the American Legion Baseball Tournament for their division. Our B Street Bombers have won the Championship on numerous occasions and are billed as the strong- est team on the Peninsula this year. With the out- standing play of seniors Steve Vina, Clyde Haddock, Duke Tadday, and iuniors John Morris, Gene Hess- ler, Don Stout, and Jim Dombroski, the Warriors should be the team to beat on the peninsula.
