PLAYERS OF Bill Dawson, Blanket winner, all-league tackle and line backer, season captain, and player-of-the-week for the TAM, game, was one of the top line men in the league. He was also tops with his team mates as they elect d e him season captain. Leadership ability and talent make a good combinat' ' ' ' ' lon and Bill Dawson has this combination. Ken Mesa, defensive line-backer, earned his trophy a gavnst Burlingame by recovering two fumbles, an inter- ception and made numerous tackles. Sonny Carlile, all-league-back and player-of-the week for h t e CAP. game. This half-back and flanker could both catch and run and, this was not all, he was also one of the best defensive backs around. Bob end, broke up many plays and opened man hol . Still, it needn't be considered the worst, either. There were many potential stars developed and much spirit was shown throughout the season. Although the Papooses lost every game, not one of the games was a slaughter. Several games were lost as a result of one or two mistakes.
