MUSIC PROVIDES PLEASURE Mr. Kretzmeier Y Ew a n.-.-.Wm S ' l y The choir is covering more literature this year and Working more on sight reading and theory. Each year the choir presents the student body with a Christmas assembly. In April the choir puts ona concert to the public. Also,each year the choir competes with all the schools in surrounding dis- tricts for a rating. The Bobcat Band stays busy the year round. Activities begin each school year with the football games and continue through marching contest, parades, playing contest, concerts and on into the summer with summer band. The band looks to Mr. Meads for leadership and finds their confidence in him well placed. Mr. Meads

BUSINESS AND LIBRARY PROVIDE TRAINING Mrs, Croft Mr. Hafner Mrs. McCrury Mr. Burkholder Mrs. Uecker Our Business Depart- ment consists of Typing I, Typing III, Stenography I, Stenography ll, Bookkeep- ing and Business Law. These, which are given to juniors and seniors, pre- pare the students for a suc- cessful future in a business and to become a qualified office worker. Mrs. Hatten 'X The school library has many functions. It is a service agency which provides materials on all subjects and all interests of stu- dents and teachers. lt serves as a teaching agency by helping stu- dentslearnhow to use books and libraries, how to find informa- tion, and how to study. It is a materials center which houses all types of printed matter as Well as audio-visual materials for the use of teachers and students. The library also is a reading center, a place for enjoying books, as Well as for investigating prob- lems and for study. Mrs. Hatten and her student librarians are always glad to help you find any type of book or any information which you might need.
