OCTCBER Student Council Paper Drives The Student Council sponsors a paper drive every month in order to raise money to present the weekly assemblies and to send its members to local and district conventions. These paper drives were usually held on a Saturday morning and all the Student Council members made a great show- ing when they appeared in bright attire to work. THE BAND GOES TO STATE FAIR Mr. Meads seems to be preoccupied. Have you ever play- ed chess ona suit- casewhile riding on abus?Try it! It's fun? In October, the South San Antonio Bobcat Band journeyed to Dallas where they spent three days at the State Fair. The band had made previous arrangement to stay in the Mer Mar Hotel.
