DECEIIVI HALL FAME Among the many privileges bestowed upon South San stu- dents is that of being chosen into the Hall of Fame. The Cat Tale staff sponsors the elec- tion of the Hall of Fame each year. To Be An Allmlele ---- 49 .ff 4 5 1 if zur ' l l l E I To be an athlete is a chore. . . but it must be boring, too. Coach Littleton is really telling Pete the horrors of basketball, but Glenn doesn't seem to believe a word that is being said.

l N AR One rainy, dreary, slippery night a- bout ten o'clock late in Ianuary, sever- al Seniors attempted to hang a sign. In order to hang the sign and not get it wet was quite a chore because it was approximately twenty feet in length but after careful planning this obstacle was soon solved, by placing two small pieces of wood at each end of the sign and tacking it to the front of the old gym. To add to the suspense of the night, these Seniors weren't quite sure that it was 1egal to put up the sign, therefore they had to be very, very quiet while at their work in order not to disturb Mr. lennings, who was busy finishing his daily work in his inside office. After thirty minutes of careful watch and hard work the Seniors had accomplished the job they had set out to do. For three consecutive years the South San basketball team has acquired the District 14-AAA Championship. This year, however, they made it more ex- citing by tying with the Del Rio Wild- cats and then going on to display good teamwork and good sportsman- ship in acquiring their fourth straight championship in the 14-AAA District.
