The man about school, Willie Herrera. 10 HHIIUNEEN CARNIVAL On October 30, 1950, members of the Royal Bobcat Court and their s ubj e c t s assembled in the school stadium to witness the crowning of Queen Miyet VI, Queen ofthe Autumn Season. After Mr. Jennings welcomed the audience in behalf of the P.T. A., he introduced Kenneth Lowe as Lord Chamberlain. The Lord Chamberlain prefaced his introduction to the court with the following words: We are here this evening to celebrate one of the most beautiful times ofthe year, auturrmn. At the close of surnmer comes harvest fields,falling leaves,bountiful fruits,twilight evenings, and the harvest moon. To celebrate autumn, the season of seasons, we have c alled together duchesses of the various phases of autumn, to emphasize the richness, color and glamour of this autuxnn season. Among them are the Memorial Program, performances at football games, school Christmas program, P. T. A. prograrn, flag dedication ceremony, formal concert, Gonzales Band Clinic, band contest fmarching and concertl, and Fiesta. At the band contest the So. San students were awarded thirteen first divisions, six second divisions and two third divisions.
