A committee whose hard work is ob- vious Throughout the school year is the Social Committee. lt is their task to plan and decorate for the many dances sponsored by the ASB. High light in their achievements was the spectacular decor ofthe Annual Coronation Ball, held January 21. SOCIAL COMMITTEE, Row 'lx A. Hicks, S. Sneddon, P. Ritchie. Row 2: L. Boden- weiser, M. McGlinn, B, Hamilton. Capable Workers Provide Excellent Dances Grads chuckled as past experiences are recalled to them in the Homecoming assembly.

-A--ff Moonlight and Roses Jo Anne Hicks was named the first lady of South Salem when she was chosen Queen of the Coronation Ball, held January 21 in the east balcony. Micky Phouts was chosen first crown princess and Nancy Van Houten was second. Approximately one hundred couples attended the affair and danced to the music of Lyle Glazier's orchestra. Sandy Snedon, general chairman, and the Social committee planned and decorated for the dance.

Homecoming Host and Hostess were Terri Blum and Don Royce. tudents Stages 6th nnual Homecoming Graduates received a warm welcome from the students of South on December 23, 1960 when they returned for the traditional homecoming festivities. The grads were invited to attencl the events that were especially planned in their honor. After The Christmas and home- coming assembly, the graduates report- ed to the east balcony for a tea and re- ception given bythe senior class. Through- out the afternoon graduates had many opportunities to visit their former teach- ers and classmates. Graduates mingled freely at the Homecoming Tea.
