THE ORIFLAMME l Page twenty EUGENE CHEVRIER Chev When it began to look like a hard winter down on the farm, Chev went up to the attic for his ear- muffs but found that the moths had already done their dirty work. Undaunted our hero showed the true Old Bridge ingenuity by cheating the barber and growing a pair of his own. However Chev is a true friendg he will laugh at anybody's joke. ELEANOR CICHACKI For three years we didn't hear much from Elea- nor. However, we knew something was developing. And now we finally have the finished product, a giggle. Eleanor is a quiet girl except for that giggle, which sends the class into hysterics. She possesses that remarkable characteristic fat least to Seniorsj of blushing, especially when Monsieur Shay bellows at her. El E El MAX COHN Mendel Here is the youngster who invented most of Mr. Shay's nicknames. Elaine is Mr. Shay's official punching bag, as well as chief explosion creator in the Chem. lab. However, he showed us that he can be serious by successfully filling the position of Business Manager of this book. Mendel went out for class basketball, and can he predict scores. LOUIS DOBROWSKY Louie When you see a coat-tail fly around a corner or a nose poke in at a door, it is probably Louie, the house detective, looking for a break. Or he may be lining up possibilities for a new basketball squad or getting a sports Writeup for the Home News . Louie intends to look for a break in journalism when he leaves old S. R. H. S.

THE ORIFLAMME mmm ANDREW BRUCE Andy The big boy with the baby face. Isn't he sweet? Andy has a complaint to make. Every morning he trots down to school puffing like a horse. Then he plaintively asks, Gee, why can't they move the school nearer to my house? That's not askng so very much. Who said we haven't ingenious peo- ple in our midst? ROSALIND CABOT Rosalind is that rather gorgeous creature who came to S. R. H. S. from the good old Bronx. Since Rosalind failed to get 100W in a Chemistry test in which the answers were given on the back of the paper, her honesty f?J is unquestionable. Come on everybody, 1et's give Rosalind the good old Bronx cheer,-I mean a rousing cheer. VEOLUNTA CANNON Peggy Veolunta heads the ballet of the school. What she knows about dancing is nobody's business. If you saw the operetta Pickles , you have a pretty good idea of what Veolunta can do in the terpsi- chorean art. Cannon and Belski are the Damon and Pythias of our class. They are inseparable and have been since way back in the grades. HELEN CHANDO Chandu Squaw is Mr. Lynch's nickname for Helen. She played the part of an Indian squaw in one of our plays, and Mr. Lynch thinks that a real squaw couldn't have done any better. Helen is also the champion gum chewer of the Senior class. In fact she chews so much that no one ever had the oppor- tunity of seeing what she looks like with her mouth closed.

THE ORIFLAMME . ELLA DREGER Ella is one of our Seniors who has suddenly sprung into prominence. Who ever heard of her way back in our freshman days? But we like the improvement. Ella is one of those girls who always have a snappv answer for any remark. She is also dramatically inclined and was a sensation as the maid in our Junior Play. ANNA DUROVICH Anne Anna is the type of person that one can seldom judge. She gives the impression of being very quiet and unconcerned, but impressions are often not reliable. Anne has a hobby of making friends through the mail. One of your good looking male pen pals might appear in person some day, Anne, and you're apt to get the shock of your life. BE El ROSE DUSCHOCK Before long there will be many men who will be eager to go to the hospital, for Rose is going to be a nurse. It is nurses like her that make hospitals popular. It has been said that Rose is greatly at- tracted to Perth Amboy for a certain male reason. Go easy, Rose, or you'll have to wait a long time for that promised trip. ANNA DUTTKIN Ann Ann is one of the members of our class who is always well dressed. Her conservatism is well ex- pressed in her clothes. Our recent French substi- tute believed a student was flattered to be asked the whys and wherefores of French. If that's true, Anna was extremely flattered, as her vocal chords were usually exercising during Ethel's translations. a m mummnn u ummm mum mm '- l 1 1 L, F In 1. f U flfff r 'IL ' -1 ff f , Page fweizty-one r J.. 4 f 4 :Av
