A student at South Ripley . . . a scholar, an athlete, but foremost a student. What do you have to do in order to be a student? Well, first of all, you get up at 7:22, rummage thru your closet until you find some- thing suitable to wear, grab a piece of pizza, either jump on the bus or in the car and BINGO-you qualify for a student at South Ripley. As you can imagine, once a stu- dent arrives at school, he can usu- ally find something to amuse himself, such as assemblies. A few of the assemblies which con- fronted us were the Marine band, the trampoline act, and the Roar- ing 20's show from Vincennes. Another highlight interrupting this busy day is feeding your face in the cafetorium where many a hamburger has been devoured by human garbage disposals dis- guised as SR students. Still another aspect of the treach- erous life we students lead is tear- ing yourself away from English class to go to the bathroom when you don't have to, or talking the chemistry teacher into letting you go take an aspirin which, at the moment, you don't happen to have. Now, this brings us to yet another way of life. What always seems to be right on your way right when you need it? The General Office. A daily chore for some of us might be stopping in the office for a pass-a pass to go uptown, a pass to get into class, a pass to get a pass! One of the biggest highlights in the student's day is that long awaited last period, not to men- tion the equally anticipated 3:15 bell. The student's life does not end at 3:15. You may stay after school for GAA or basketball practice, or you may have various meetings or activities to attend. ,s N 'MM Y H v- ,jf Students' work is never done 93 L pg as ml Ei: ::7' s me in 1 - , iww,,Q! in in uw!
