When people hear that name they think of winners. Attending South Point the last three years has been the greatest experience of my life, While I have been here there have been two state athletic championships. In 1979 the football team went 14-0 for the State 3A title. In 1981 I had the privilege of playing for the State 3A baseball championship team. Not only does South Point excel in sports, but the people here at South Point are Number 1, too. Just walking down the halls of South Point is a great experience. The student body has an air about it that is unique. You can tell that all the students are Red Raiders, and they are definitely proud to show it. In leaving South Point I would like to thank the students, teachers, and administration for all of their guidance, encouragement, and the chance to be a big part of South Point. I may be leaving physically, but my heart will always be a part of this great organization. Class of '82 and South Point-you are truly Number 1. Dale Beaty I .WJ '7 MZ. 3 My South Point years have been most stimulating and productive up to this point of my life. I feel that when I leave South Point, I will have the confidence and preparation necessary to lead a successful college life and later the life of a productive, responsible adult. My most valuable memories, though, stem from the wonderful people, especially teachers, that are now my friends. Even though I will miss them, I look forward to leaving the security of these friendships for the adventure of discovering and making my future. Gerri Dobbins The first day I entered South Point I was a frightened sophomore anxious to be a part of that Number 1 Raider school. I soon leamed that the only way to become a part of that wonderful family was to get involved. Now almost everything I do is the result of getting myself involved. My advice to those of you who still have time left here is to go afier what you've always wanted. If you leave feeling empty, it won't be anyonels fault but your own. Set goals for yourself and strive every day to meet them. Don't let opportunities pass you by, but do your best at everything. Your life will be much fuller and happier because of it. Jan Duncan 'RESP' South Point: These words mear many things to many people. To me instantly they bring a great sense oi pride, an over all warmth, and 2 spontaneous smile. The words bring a rush of wonderful memo- ries-memories that can never be forgotten, but instead stored in a veq special place in my heart. In the past three years I have come to leam and love so many things and people. I've found that it's not the building itself that makes South Point the best, but the people within the school. We all seem to have a driving force within us to be the best Ca quality I know will always live inside me and help me in the futurel. Therefore we become the best. Leaving South Point, I have mixed feelings-sadness, for I will truly miss the many friends I have made and the closeness we have all shared. There will also be happiness, for I have nothing but the fondest of memories to carry with me through a lifetime. Denese Harper
