With the guidance ofthe staffs advisor, Mrs. Marsha Jones, accurate and, perhaps, even exclusive reports written by staff members led to the success of the publication. Co-editors Robin Lancaster and Gerri Dobbins worked with the rest of the staff in creating new ideas for the newspaper. With each new deadline that arrived, the 1981-82 Tomahawk staff fel reassured that they were presenting a first-rat newspaper.

Right Leah Wentz helps Cara Van Orden on a Working many long and hard hours, the Clarion used a variety of journalistic techniques to create a yearbook that is unlike previous editions. Learning how to crop pictures, write copy, captions, and head- lines, the junior staff members worked alongside their senior editor, Jan Duncan. Attempting to produce the best book ever, the staff began working hard. The obvious place to start was choosing a theme. After checking out several ideas, it was decided this year's theme would be The Way We Were. The objective ofthe 1982 Clarion staff was to construct a yearbook incorporating the memories of our happy school years. 41
