Homecoming at SPC meant a very special Occasion for Loretta Martinez and Scott Williamson, for they were crowned homecoming royalty during halftime. They were among 24 other couples nominated for the honor, and presented to the student body at the pep rally for the students to vote on. The game was with Clarendon Junior College, and the Texans pulled out a close win. The final score was 65-64. The chorus line raised some blood pressures as well as their arms when these cheerleaders perform- ed for the on-looking gamblers.
