Ae . President of South Plains College DR. THOMAS M. SPENCER FELLOW STUDENTS: U i As we move into our second year of the growth and development of our college we are mindful of several jobs that have been completed. Among these jobs are the completion of the central unit buildingsg securing accreditation of our academic programg establishing our reputation and acceptance among the institutions of higher education in the State of Texas and forming our first group of ex-students. The future will see the accomplishment of many other objectives which are obviously unfinished. Our chief objective, that of helping to provide the needed education and training of adequate leadership for Texas and the Southwest, is a never-ending job. Our success in this area depends upon you as well as upon your school. This year we will graduate our first class that has done all of its college work with us. We are looking forward to the success this group will meet as leaders in other than campus activities. With our hats off to the past and our ucoats off to the future we move on to greater things.
