The Thrill of Vicfory And fhe Agony of Defeaf The Girls' Varsity Basketball Team coached by Hal Loud, who has a three year record of 57-15, came in sec- ond in the Mid-State Conference and second in the Middlesex County Tournament. The team's record was 22-5 with 4 of the losses com- ing from Piscataway. The starting line-up all received recognition from the Mid-State Conference this year as Pat Eckel was named to the first team, jacki McDonough to the second, and Ginger Sulovski, Maryann Baszika, and Cindy Eckel were awarded Honorable Mention showing their all around balance. Pat Eckel led the team in total points this year and is I also the record holder for total points in a varsity career as a girl at S.P.H.S. Next year's team should be just as strong as 4 starters are returning. Seniors that are leaving are janet Partika, janice Geary and Pat Eckel. Other members are Cindy Holloman, Leslie Barg, Terry Chavis. The oncoming year will bring bigger and better things Nj to S.P.H.S. Watch out Piscatawayl COHCIW Hal a 57- record as team.
