Although the tennis team closed its season with a record of 3 wins and 18 losses, its record was not a true reflec- tion of its talent. There were 9 close matches where the score was 2-3, that could have easily gone our way with a few breaks. Senior Pat Eckel, team captain, moved up from third singles last year to play first singles this year. Other seniors Kathy Fimiani, Robin Thibault, and Theresa Lukey, were all double players. lunior Ginger Sulovski, playing her first year with the tennis team had the best individual record at 13-7 while playing 1st and 2nd singles. Also contributing to the team were junior jacki McDonough, who played doubles, and Romana Sam Kravetsky, who was a singles player. Winnin Comes Easily The 1976-77 Cheering Squad enjoyed a very successful season this year as they captured two more titles to add to their record. They took first place in the St. Pius Tournament while defending their title for the third straight year. Patty Para- diso won Miss Yell. In the Woodbridge Tournament, they again successfully 7 defended their title as Champions. Taking second place behind them was Raritan. Next year's squad hopes to be just as good, since only two seniors, Captain Marie Bergen and Sandy Falten, will be leaving the squad. Coming back are five juniors: Angela Ferraro, Kathy Baunach, Sharon Najim, Karen Rea, and Co- ' Captain Sandy Stampleyg and three sophomores: -Denise DeAndrea, Lynn Hack, and Patty Paradiso.
