The South Plainfield Freshman football team had a 6 win, 3 loss record for which Coach Demech is very proud. The team opened the season losing to Somer- ville 24-O. But the Tigers bounced back defeating Watchung12-O, Terriel lr. High 29-6, and Bridgewater West 18-0. Losing in the last 25 seconds, they were defeated by Bridgewater East 10-6. In their last games played, the little tigers defeated Franklin Township and arch-rival North Plainfield. The Co-captains were loe Salerno and Dave Patti. The leading rusher was Marty Thompson and the leading pass receiver was lim lnsel. This is a team to watch out for in the future. Bottom left: C. l. Sakevich 1445 forges for a quick gainer against Franklin.
