Indoor Track Posts Another Fine Season This year the Winter Track Team finished the season with a log of 2-2. Many meets were can- celled due to the frigid, inclement weather. For the first time since the start of Winter Track at S.P.H.S., a young lady participated on the varsity ' squad. Claire Gursky, last year's girl's outdoor 440 State Champion, actively participated on the 880 relay team which won 3 out of 4 races during the season. Kevin Sakevich, Senior Captain and last year's outdoor Central jersey Group 3 Champion, man- aged to capture third in the Middlesex County hur- dles and second in the State Group 3 hurdlesg both times tied the school record of 7.5 seconds. Bad weather and illness kept the Varsity Team from performing up to pre-season expectations. Surviving the winter without any major injuries was an accomplishment to be thankful for.
