Published through the efforts of eight staff members, this year's Tiger Talk has become more and more the voice of the student body. Controversial subjects have been introduced and many new columns have been initiated. Added attractions such as Leave It to Jeanne and Sum-It-Up have increased the paper's circulation. Tiger Talk members have also done publicity for SPHS in the Courier-News and Suburban Review. Publicity for the Suburban Review was done by Paula Myers for our Tiger Tattler column. Secretaryy, Mr. Donald Clark fAdvisorJ, Ronald Kuboski qTreasurerJ. n Student Council The Student Council is a student governmental organization. Its members are rep- resentatives of each class and are chosen by the student body. They must be responsi- ble stuclents who are interested in the improvement of their school. The Council is the democratic means of intercession between the student body and the administration. Its aims are to improve student relationships with the faculty and the community, to be of service to the administration in alerting them to student opinion, and to make supplies available to the student through the operation of the school store. The social aspect of the Student Council includes the sponsoring of the annual Sadie Hawkins and Cupid's Carousel Dances . Proceeds from the affairs are used for the purchase of a gift which can benefit the school in future years. Sadie Hawkins Dance 29
