The Hall Patrol meets bi-monthly. The FIRE DRILLS The purpose of our fire drills is to develop a habit of how to act during a fire drill and, if necessary, an actual fire. lt has been proven that many deaths are a result of panic, rather than burns. Asphyxiation during panic, is also a major cause of death. Fire drills help to alleviate this panic, and it becomes a normal reaction to follow directions of fire patrol men. The seriousness of a fire drill should never be minimized, because the elementary school is part of our building and the danger is far greater. There is an advantage of having a one -story building and window area. Although our building is as close to fire- proof as possible, the ignition of paper or clothing is a potential danger. Briefly, the fire instructions are: fly Walk, do not run in line to the assigned exitg Q21 Absolutely no talkingg Q30 Do not pushg Q41 Follow the fire patrol's instructions.
