The literary world was opened to us during these three years. Our teachers impressed us with their vast knowledge and everlasting understanding of our not digging Shakespeare. Some of us tried our creative skills in the journalism class and others hamming it up in Dramatics. WStar English was offered for those of us who were amateur psychologists. How can we forget the many dreaded book tests, essays and compositions, term tests, gram' mar reviews research papers, poetry reading, and of course, Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo? Charles Dickens, Edna Eerber, Robert Frost, William Shakespeare, you will be in our hearts forever!

If there were any questions in our minds concerning history, we knew where to go. All of our history teachers were up to date on their favorite subject and were overjoyed to exhibit their great store of knowlf edge. We were certainly privileged to be able to obtain such an excellent background in both American and European history here at Southern. Eleven
