It is Southern's largest department, teachers and studentfvvise. For girls wishing to acquire Work' ing experience, the cooperative education course is available, provided they have maintained good marks the preceding terms. Here at Southern we are taught more and better ways in which to com' municate and increase our knowledge of English by the able teachers of our English Department. Southern's English Department offers its students many opportunities: journalism, to our creative stuf dentsg the dramatic club, for our actors and actresses. Our English classes are divided into three groups: Honor English, Regular English, and Practical Eng' lish. This enables all students to develop their individual abilities.
