What goes w1th the femmes? Who makkee the money and get h1m the workkee'? CTh1s 1S not Iapanese but a vanety of Greek Southern slang Frnmsh and Esk1moD Actually all thrs means that rn sprte of the employers promrses to the returmng soldrers the employer w1ll shelve a great number rn favor of cheaper female labor Th1s w1ll create a serrous problem for the Southernrte of the rehabllrtatron era after the war fand we hope the war ends soon? FOOTBALL soUTHERN 13 soUTHEAsT 0 The last season of Watchlng a Southern football team as a student passes wrth that team of 43 comrng 1n tled for second place That team wh1ch showed amaz1ng power behmd that 205 pound l1ne agalnst Vlneland and then unfortunately bowed to Brrdgeton rn pre season games came through to play better than average ball We rolled through Franklln to the tune of 13 O on that hot sweltenng October day We were tred when we should have won Wllh Frankford at 66 as the skles let loose Wllh tears toward the end of the game The defendlng champs Northeast came 1n and left Wllh a lucky l3 7 over the Pltt men But the batterlng Rams left that shapeless West Ph1lly f1eld w1th a 12 O vlctory Came Germantown and a lucky 6 O w1n for us That Arm1st1ce Day game wlth Bartrarn started wlth a downpour of snow and ram then cleared up to a sunny afternoon after a 6 6 t1e South Cathollc came to cur spac1cus held only to lose to the count of 13 O The SGUIOTS were represented on that P1tt coached team by Belhs Sand usky Gasbarro and Elsenberg all part of that 205 pound llne r 'E I 44
