Seniors XYhen the question arises as to which year of those spent in high school means the most. the answer is inevitably the senior year. The reason for this unanimous assumption is probably the fact that the senior year is the most bustling in every held of activity. Scholastically the senior must be more than alert that he may graduate and thereby prove that his three preceding years have not been passed in vain. Socially, activities not shared by the other classes. such as the prom and senior day, are not only enjoyable, but an important part of high school life. However. the field where the senior year shows the most pronounced dillierence from the other three years is undoubtedly in the field of leadership. Because ofthe senior's advantage in the field of experience and maturity, he is supposedly wiser. This wisdom should be used to lead other students in the betterment of themselves and of their school. But should this quality of leadership come to an end on graduation day? Clearly the answer to this question is an emphatic NO!, for, upon leaving high school, a South Parker should nurture and develop this trait of leadership so that he may do his part in bringing more shining hours not only to his school community, but, on a larger scale, to his city, and, if possible, to the great nation of which each of us is so proudly a part. - - Douglas Faillrl Take time to work - it is the price ot successg Take time to think - it is the source of powerg Take time to play - it is the secret oi perpetual youthg Take time to read - it is the foundation of wisdomg Take time to worship - it is the highway to reverencep Take time to be friendly - it is the road to happiness: Take time to dream - it is hitching our wagon to a star: Take time to love and be loved - it is the privilege of the gods. - Anonymous -is .
