Congratulations ! Class of 1946! Probably there never was a time in the history of this country when the opportuni- ties for young people were more plentiful. Vast new frontiers in science, industry, education, business and labor await exploration. The world cries out for food and goods. Thousands of people need houses, automobiles, and other products of our fields and factories. We stand on the threshold of an era which we hope will be one of international good-will in a rebuilt world from which war will be banished. Yet the realization of all our hopes rests on stern self-discipline and the application of physical and mental energies without which these opportunities will fall short of fulfillment. I trust that you will meet this challenge with intelligence, fortitude and courage, and an awareness of the responsibility that is yours to assist in directing the world of tomorrow along paths of justice, peace and prosperity. With this sobering thought and with every good wish for your happiness and suc- cess in the years to come, I extend to you heartiest congratulations. Principal.
