We should be grateful and show our appreciation to the people who have given to us so much help and inspiration, namely, our teachers. We feel that our lives have been greatly changed by these few persons with whom we have spent so much time. In the future we think that before we take other major steps in our lives, we may stop and think what one of our teachers might have done or advised us to do. No one knows what the future may hold for any of us. This uncertainty-this lack of knowledge of what is to come-can cause within a person a great deal of anxiety, concern and even fear unless one has learned how to face the unknown, the unfamiliar and the new. Education has as one of its major purposes the task of teaching people how to cope successfully with new experiences. This is equally as important as the task of teaching fundamental skills. For the person who has learned how to solve a problem, how to meet confidently the unknown, the unfamiliar and the new has been truly educated. That person need have no fear of the future. It is my hope that the four years spent in high school have taught you these things. The fact that you, the seniors, have completed successfully a twelve year program of schooling, is evidence of your ability to meet new experiences and to solve them adequately. I have the utmost confidence that you will be able to solve the problems of life as well. Remember, that happiness is mode, not found! Wisdom and understanding are the Principal things Buble
