South Norfolk High Schoolff1947 Our high school building of today is a great improve- ment over the building that accommodated the high school students twenty-five years ago. Rapid growth of the student body made the erection of the present building necessary in 1929. The old building is a part of the present elementary school plant. Construction ofthe new school building, complete with a modern gymnazium, a large and attractive auditorium, and laboratories, was a significant mile-stone in the progress of education in the City of South Norfolk.

Forewor . . . In this, the 25th Edition of Tm: TIGER,', we have attempted to bring about an awareness of the advancements made in school life since the publication of the first Tiger to the present day. In spite of the changes the years have wrought, new faces have only replaced the old, and these changes have not altered our standards, but rather raised them to a higher level. Each year left its mark upon our school with the wisdom and knowledge that only time can bring. Through the very halls that the students trod then, pass today's generation, fortified with the lessons learned through experience. We sincerely believe that these past 25 years have been good years, progressive years, and with this as our theme we have strived to show the fruits that they have produced. WILSON NEIL PHELPS, Editor-in-Chief
