I come from Finland, a little independent country in Scandinavia. The area is almost the same size as all of the New England States and the States of New York, New Jersey, and Maryland together. The neighbor countries are Sweden, and Norway on the west and Soviet Union on the east. The population is small, only about 5.7 million people. doesn't set at all, especially in the northern part of Finland, called Lapland. Finland is known as a strong winter sport country, such as ski jumping and cross country skiing. May- be you have heard about the Sauna Bath. That is an old Finnish custom done a couple of times a week. Finland has four seasons, as you have here. The winter is long and cold, and the summer is short, but warm. Beautiful in the Finnish nature are the lakes; there are tens of thousands in Finland. In the summers, you can see the Midnight Sun that I have had many new experiences in your country. I like your littfe Southtown with those beautiful hills all around. I'm glad I got to know you. MARJA 28

We’re the class of eighty-one and our life has just begun. We leave behind us the joy and tears of our high school years. None of us are the same and here we are name by name. Phil Hamblett, playing music is his joy, and beating the drums is his comrade, Roy. Our shortest guy is P.J. Brown and Chris Lyons, of course, is the class clown. Wendy Wasicko is the baby of the class, and Darlene Maynard is our flirtiest lass. Annie and Connie who are always together, are often confused with one another. Steve Voorhis always runs out of gas, and Cheryl Figger is the Hell Raiser of the class. Mary Potter is into everything, and Marja Seppela can really sing. John Ruvo is the cop (or is it cop-out?) of the class, and Lisa Stevens is Robb’s loving lass. Sandy Brady can be found at Jamesway, and Andy Camp delivers papers every day. Ava and Deb are our sister pair, and Pam Jones has a certain flair. Kevin O’Connor is the new kid in town, and Lina Demeree we never see around. Carol Wells is our most quiet one, and Jeff Lewis never gets his homework done. Pam Morrell really is hitched and don’t forget about little Mitch. Deb Meade cheers the teams, while Joe and Dave are always late, it seems. Pam MacBlain works after school, and John Hildebrandt breaks every rule. Jeff Harrington and Kevin Funke are the last, but that doesn’t mean they’re not a blast. And when we’ve gone our separate ways, We will never forget those earlier days.
