Dalrymple ADMINISTRATION Tenderly now let all men turn to the earth Nancy Newhall The problems that our country will face in the next several decades are bound to be complex, but they can be solved if there is an inherent sense of morality. We are dependent on the effectiveness of religious teaching and a dedicated determina- tion to distinguish right from wrong. We must be guided by a national conscience. This is not a time for pessimism or for optimism but for realism. We need, as always, words of caution and constructive criticism. Facts must be faced and decisions courageously made, based on what is good for people, and what is best in the long run for the welfare of man. The challenges of yesterday cannot be forgotten. For they remain the challenges of today and tomor- row. Congratulations and best wishes to you all, for the tremendous Future and opportunities are yours for the effort. Volckert V. R. Mason Supervising Principal I would like to extend my sincere congratula- tions to you now that you have completed one big step in the process of your education. I'm sure you realize that you will continue to learn as long as you continue to live, and I hope you will always actively seek knowledge and truth, though not nec- essarily in formal education institutions. If I may be permitted to leave you just two sug- gestions, they are as follows: 1) Remember that you will constantly en- counter in life tasks which are boring and unpleasant, but which, for one reason or another, simply have to be done. So accept this, do the tasks, and get them over with. 2) The phrase We are living in a world of permanent change may by now have be- come trite, but it is nonetheless very true. So many obstacles to progress are found only in the mind. Keep yours open. Again, my congratulations and best wishes for success in all you do. Charles W.
