ANNA SCOTT, Advisor Alma Mater In the Unadilla Valley, Where our Southtown lies, Stands our noble Alma Mater, Glorious to view. South New Berlin, South New Berlin, Black and gold we love, Hail to thee our Alma Mater, South New Berlin, hail. The Class Of 1970 Dedicates Its Yearbook We, the graduating Class of 1970, wish to dedicate our yearbook to Mr. Larry Abbott, Physical Education Teacher and Varsity Coach. For the past two years, he has tried to teach us to become better students and to live a life that will make our school and community proud of us. By dedicating this yearbook to him, may we express our deep thanks to him. SEATED: H. Eugene Wieand, District Superintendent. STAND- ING: Richard A. Marsters, Admin. Assistant; Donald G. Preston, Asst. Superintendent; Robert W. Harrold, Admin. Assistant. Board Of Education SEATED: Mr. Frederickson, Mr. Pike, Mr. Law. STANDING: Mr. Herman, Mr. Kopko, Mr. Reed. As Seniors of the 1970 graduating class of South New Berlin Central School, your formal school days, in some cases, are drawing to a close, while in other cases there is more to come. For all, may I suggest that you do not close the door - rather - leave it ajar, for no one's education is ever really completed. Face your future endeavors with the conviction and fortitude which has carried you through these past twelve years, remembering always to be somewhat humble. You, as members of the class of '70 and as leaders of the tomorrows to come, are charged, (in part at least), with the responsibility for directing the future of society. You will, I am sure, be ever mindful that the heritage of America, which has been so well guarded, must be yours, zealously protected in this and future years of accelerated progress. Do not retreat nor be deterred from the ideals which make so precious your American citizenship. May good fortune be yours in the coming decade of the seventies, and God bless each of you.
