Bernard W. Gornbein, Traveling Science Teacher from Oak Ridge, Tennessee, visited South New Berlin Central School during the week of December 8, 1958. He presented a series of special lecture-demonstrations on a variety of scientific topics. On Thursday evening, December 11, Mr. Gornbein gave a special lecture-demonstration for adults and advanced science students of the area at the South New Berlin Central School Auditorium. On Friday, December 12, Mr. Gornbein gave a special demonstration at an assembly for grades five through twelve. This was very much enjoyed by all. We were very honored to have Mr. Gornbein at our school for the week. We were the only school in this section to have him visit our school.
