During the year Alfred White and Glen Moore left us. One of the exciting events of our Junior year occurred when we received our class rings in January. We had two dances, in March and May which helped us on our way to our “Senior trip” next year. We also held the annual Junior Prom on June 5th. Our class was honored to have Feter Kullmann chosen as King of the Winter Carnival. 8

One new member, Fdna Diamond, from Norwich. At Halloween time we sponsored a marriage court, which was run by Marcia Robinson, Weston, Utter, and Chris Thompsen. In January, our school had its first Winter Carnival. Our class made an image of a rabbit as our ice statue, and won first prize of a trophy of which we are very proud. Virginia Cady was chosen queen of the Winter B ll. Also in January, Marcia Robinson won the American Legion Oratorical Contest prize of $7. Her speech was on ‘‘The History Of The United:States Constitution.” Throughout basketball season, we had two cheerleaders and two players from our class. They were Jennie Beadle, and Virginia Cady--Junior Varsity Cheerlead- ers, and John Van Pelt, and Richard Sameuls--both for Junior Varsity and Varsity teams. 9
