The theme for Homecoming was, The Best ls Yet To Come. The day started with a pep rally on the football field during second hour. The spirit line danced to Tequila, or Pee Wee Herman Song. Later an unidentified person in a Maryvale jacket walked onto the fieldg he was shot, placed on a stretcher, and carried away by some Varsity football players. During the game fireworks were lit after each South touch- down, At halftime the royalty was crowned and driven around the field. A large firework was lit. reading: The Best ls Yet To Come I.. The community greatly supported South's Homecoming. Me- dia coverage was more than adequate. And, though the stand- ing room only crowd did not see a victory. next year's game will be different!
