South sponsored many assemblies this year. Among those was the annual homecoming assembly. Part of the growth pattern for every human being is the activities in which he participates. There were many during the year at South. From Homecoming to sack races and from chess matches to football games students found their own interests met by a vital and active program . . . one that provided experiences to broaden the individual. Doing her own thing is junior Ginger Pear hanso Them This year's Christmas Instead of the annual Silver Bells, South had a regular Christmas Formal with the couples wearing semiformal attire if they so wished. The theme of this year's formal, 'Chanson de Noel', meaning 'A Song of Christmas' was appropriately chosen, for the atmosphere and festive mood displayed at the dance was greater than in past years. Even though there were no Silver Bells, the dance was a true success.
