Girls P.E. Physical fitness, especially for the young generation, is of growing concern. Physi- cal education fP.E.l classes keep students busy exercising, playing, and dancing. Mind as well as body is educated. Sports- manship, teamwork, and cooperation are taught in P.E. Girls participate in many varied sports. There are four teachers in the special ed- ucation department, with Mr. Tsakiris as the head. Courses in English, science, government, social studies, economics, and mathematics are taught. Special education classes are for the slow students who have trouble reading or are non-readers. These classes are open to all students, from freshmen to seniors. Students taking special education courses will find able and understanding teach- ers and a program which is geared to their own speed and ability. SPECIAL EDUCATION Paul Tsakiris B.A., A.S.U.
