They placed 4th in the Suburban, tied for 2nd in the Suburban Re- lays, won the Little Suburban and placed 4th in the state. At the end of last season, Jack Vahradian and Bob Mildebrandt were elected honorary captains for the year. Under the able eyes of Coach Brown, they are working very hard to get in shape for the tough meets this season. Because they have won the Little Suburban Meet so many GOF Golf, one of the three major sports, also proves to be one of South Milwaukee's most successful ones. Coached by Mr. Ka- minski, the 1952 squad was Suburban Champs and placed third in the State Meet, Even with the loss of three lettermen of last year--Dick Hughes, Rollie Bachett, Gene Wisner-the coming season is very promising. With Grant Park Golf Course at our back door the Rocket divot diggers have every oppor- tunity to develop skill in their game as well as high standards of good sportsmanship-and enjoy it to boot! times, this year they will be eligible to compete in the Big Suburban Meet, which is competition among larger schools.
