He has devoted immeasurable time and boundless energy to the en- deavors of our school. By giving his pupils a valuable knowledge of his- tory, he has truly earned the title of teacher. He has shown a quiet but genuine interest in all his students, given respect to every deserving per- son while earning our deep respect. He has molded a football team of whose accomplishments South can be very proud, but more important, he has instilled in us a sportsmanlike integrity and a modest pride that we hope is reflected in us all. In return, we, the Class of 1968, do gratefully dedicate this year's Somecka to this man who has given us so much, Nlr. Robert Patten. 13
