The members of the Board of Trustees of the Macomb County Community College elected officers and submitted their first budget after being sworn in at their first meeting in Mount Clemens at the County Building, August 22. Elected as officers of the board were John W. Lewis, chairmang Patrick J. McCafferty, treasurerg and Kenneth N. Sanborn, secretary. A budget of S1,369,095.92 was accepted and submitted to the tax allocation board by the trustees within the week. Kenneth W. Hill, president of the County Board of Education, swore in John W. Lewis, Superintendent of the South Lake Public School District in St. Clair Snoresg Max Thompson, Superintendent of the Van Dyke Public School District in Warreng Patrick J. McCafferty, Mount Clemens Certified Public Accountant, John E. Bates, Jr., Warren, Counselor of Men's Activities at Wayne State University, Kenneth N. Sanborn, Clinton Township Attorney and Harvey J. Groesbeck, associated with a micro seal firm in Warren. 6
