Graduation ls a Time of Mixed Emotions Graduation, an event that inspires the emotions of happiness, sadness, and often a confusion of both, provides a glorious and dignified transition from four years of finals, fun, and friends to a new world of college excitement or the fast-moving world of busi- ness. Commencement exercises began on Sunday, June lst, in Munn Gymnasium. The final event, marking the end of a high school career for 123 seniors, was held on June 4th, Impressive lines of navy-clad seniors marched proudly forward to receive long-awaited diplomas. Recalling the years leading to this finale, each senior cherished the moment of receiving his sheepskin. Above: A meaningful Baccalaureate Sermon prepares thoughtful seniors forthe tremendous responsibilities ahead. Right: With diplomas in hand, seniors display concern for their future but, at the same time, relief for having gained a long rough level of academic freedom. 36
