CLASS HTSTORY when we started out in l9h3 with U2 class merbers, little did we know of the things that would happen in the next 12 years After spending six years scattered among the three schools in the system, we all got together in the seventh grade, with a nice group that has since resulted in many gray hairs for the teachers we started our high school years as freshman in 1951 under the watchful eye of our homeroom teacher, Mr Siegfried we elected our officers as follows John Adams President, Dwight Brockway Vice President, and Joyce Tryon Secretary and Treasurer During the year we lost 6 class members They were Pob LaPorte, Peg Schaffer, Richard Stone, Viola Dibble, George Gardner and Delores Groppe we were happy to have Shirley Skog Join us we studied hard and found ourselves one step closer Sophomoresl with Miss Russ in Room 21 we elected Fent Many our President, Ronald Adare our V'ce President ard Joyce Tryon our Secretary and Treasurer To the sorrow of all of us, we lost Q members They were Shirley Eddy, Flsie Burdicl, Joyce Tryon, Joh. Da Howard Cornell, Willis Lutz, Hanky Van Buren, Donald Stuit, MaryAnn Schmitt and Bertha Russell we gained Donald Martin for half a year Here we are Juniors already we started the year with a brand new teacher for our homeroom teacher and advisor Nr Rapacz we elected the following officers President Ronald Adams, Vice President Kent Many, Secretary Shirley Skog and Treasurer Dwight Brockway In our Junior year we gained Rose Hanselman we were allowed to do a few things to raise a little revenue for our Senior Trip we had bake sales, dances, sold refreshments at basketball games, and with the Seniors we put on two one act plays, and split the profits Our greastest production was our our cueer ard Dwight Brockway our king At last Seniors! It didn't really take so long as we expected We started our last year with ll members and S senior candidates On School Fair Day, we sold refreshments, and sponsored games oi skill we had bake sales at all the P T A meetings we staged our Senlor Plar nmre in el of Red Canyon' we had our annual magazine carnaig ir ccmpefitlon with the Juniors were all very hapoy wher we finally received our class rings Now we are looking very eagerly toward our Senior Trip t New York and our Sevior Rall Although we will be very proud to be graduatlng from old S Y C , we will surely miss it and realize that these have been the best years of our lives 31 ' O ' Q 0 0 .
