HENRY MUYSKENS Principal Theu Deal in Futures Educational principles today stress that there is more to be gained in an education than iust read- ing, writing, and arithmetic. ln addition to the needed and emphasized class room curriculum, students must also be socially adiusted to meet life's problems. Such adiustment is experienced through an extra-curricular program where they learn to work and cooperate with others and to take responsibilities. The iunior-senior high school under the supervision of Mr. Henry Muyskens ac- cepts this broader vision of education. To meet every student's needs, South Kitsap offers twelve courses of study--college prepara- tory, pre-engineering, pre-nursing, home econom- ics, business administration, secretarial, agriculture, music, social science, industrial arts, and a general course. Such a program helps to attain Mr. Muys- kens' goal in guiding South Kitsap-to bring each student up to the highest standard that he can possibly absorb. As an all-around information center, the guid- ance offices of the iunior and senior high schools have helped students with their individual problems as well as with the final adiustments and decisions on the scheduling of their programs.
