Her ani- mated conversations and her dramatic man- nerisms have provided hilarious moments, but our popular friend has a serious side, for she is a conscientious student, willing and cooperative. A member of the Literary Star? of THE ANCHOR, she has also helped on our S. K. Pades. Senior Dance, and Harvest Jamboree committees. Electing home economics. Claire has excelled in VF? both foods and clothing. BEVERLY FAY JORDAN XX'ith her cheery smile and pleasant dis- position. Bev alvvays cooperates with her fellow classmates. ln her junior year she was a member of the French Club. As a member of the Typing Staff of THE AN- CHOR, she has proved her capabilities and has obtained practical experience in pre- paration for a career as a secretary. Beverly, who is quiet and conservative, is a valuable fr.end to everyone. A V f JUDITH DIANE KEN ON Red-gold hair and a fair complexion distinguish Judy, one of our most delight- ful classmates. Her wonderful sense of hu- mor relieves the tension of many serious moments, and whether she is teasing or being teased. her good nature is always evident. As History Editor of THE AN- CHOR, she is capable and responsible, for she is a good student, conscientious and accurate. Judy is especially gifted in the field of music, she plays both the piano and the organ. Although she is active in community affairs, she still finds time to attend all S. K. games. Her hobbies include her music and cooking, an art in which she excels, Judy's patience and sincerity, her ambition and diligence, and her sense of humor will contribute to her happiness and success. ' N L ui. hfvnawf J 0 1 1 Ge - i ROBERT EARL KENYON Bob, one of the quieter members of our class, has followed the general course and has been a member of the vocational prac- tice group during his four years here at South Kingstown High. ln his spare time he holds a part time job at the Point Judith Fisheries, yet he still finds time for his favorite hobbies, hunting and fishing. Among his most prized possessions is his l95l Henry-J, 6' f,4'4':' if ' Although Judith is one of the studious members of our class. she enjoys many out- side activities. Among her favorites are archery, skiing, and swimming. She espe- cially enioys operatic and classical music. Besides being a member of the French Club and the Photography Club, she also entered the Science Fair. Excellence in her work makes Judy a fine choice for Literary Editor of THE ANCHOR. 1 -S JOSEPH EUGENE GRILLO 2 '-3' s 'U 'S kim!! JOAN FRANCES GOODWIN joan, a lovely blue-eyed blonde, was one of the charming members of the Queen's Court at the junior Prom. Blessed with such natural gifts as beautiful hair and a radiant complexion, she is charming in manner as well as appearance. Thoroughly competent in the field of homemaking, she is an expert in food preparation. An affec- tionate and thoughtful nature, joan is in- dustrious and ambitious. LAURETTA FRANCES GOODWIN A lovely lady, tall and attractive, Lau- retta is modest and unassuming. She is also one of the pleasantest girls in our class, for she has a great sense of humor and participates in all our activities with spon- taneous enthusiasm. She designs and makes her own wardrobe, this accounts for the fact that Lauretta is one of our fashionable and well groomed girls. Her extra-curricula activities include bowling, dancing, and horseback riding. Lauretta's gentle, friendly manner has made a deep impression on all of usg her conscientiousness and her sense of responsibility will always be tremendous assets. Ever noticed a nice looking little Model A Ford around the parking area? If you notice the driver, you'll see that it's joe. The looks and the condition of this antique car certainly prove what hard work and ingenuity can do. Not all of joe's interests, however, lie in the Ford. His four year aggie course has been supplemented by his work on a local potato farm. For two years he has been secretary of the F. F. A. Joe always has a pleasant smileg everyone en- ioys his company. His future employers will find him a man to depend upon when a hard job is assigned. DIANN MARY I-IARNDEN For four years Diann has intrigued us with her persuasive manner. Her serious eyes and her disarming smile reflect her mood and tell us of the warm personality behind them. In spite of a job which re- quired much of her time, Diann has been active in the Girls' Glee Club, and she has also served on the Literary Staff of THE ANCHOR. Her favorite sports are in the out-of-doors category - swimming, skat- ing, hunting, and riding. A smart appear- ance and a debonair manner distinguish Diann, but underneath, there is a deep, per- ceptive mind. DORMAN JAMES HAYES jimmy. our ten o'clock scholar, finds it difhcult to arrive in our venerable halls at 8:10. He takes his kidding wth good grace and a knowing grin. His debating abilities are aptly shown in history class where he often cites his views on world affairs. His other interests include Boy Scouting and outdoor activities. ln his senior year he belonged to the Photography Club. jimmy is a likable. pleasant class- mate and an agreeable companion.

K. she was on The RLBEL Stan. and in both her freshman and sophomore years Dolores sang in the Glee Club. She also finds time to belong to Erenth Club. Dramatics Club, and the Literary Stari of THE ANCHOR. One of her favorite pastimes is swimming. With characteristic ambition and industry, Do- lores has followed the college course for four years and plans to enroll at the Uni- yersity of Texas. For the past three years she has been an energetic cheerleader and is now co-captain of the varsity squad. Dur- ing her junior year Libby was president of the French Club and a member of S. K. Pades, junior Prom, and Halloween jam- boree committees. Her willingness to as- sist when help is needed is reason for her great popularity with the entire student body. Food Sale and Senior Dance com- mittees are only two of the activities on her agenda for this year. Besides attaining a high scholastic record, he works part time at a local drug store. Arthur's principal interests revolve around chemis- try, and in his junior year he was chosen a member of the chem team. Underclass Editor on THE ANCHOR, he also enjoys outdoor activities, especially salt-water fish- ing. His capacity for hard work and his cooperative personality will contribute to his success in the held of science. . 1 - 1 . Holding a part time job and running errands from the office keep him very busy, yet he man- ages his studies in the general course. An avid stock car enthusiast, Bill spends much of his spare time at the car races. His good disposition and jovial nature have won him many friends at S. K. Bill always has time to do something for someone. . if 1 J JOYCE ELIZABETH MCCULLOUGH -loyte is an attractive blonde with plenty of pep. Her enthusiasm is especially appreciated. tor she has been a cheerleader for four years. At our junior Prom Joyce was one of the charming members of the Queens Court.
