Tall and good looking, he is popu- lar with everyone. Active in sports, John played baseball in his freshman year, bas- ketball and golf during his sophomore year, and baseball as a junior. He is also a sports fan and attends a variety of sporting events. A good commercial student, John is industrious and cooperative. We appre- ciate his efforts and loyalty. Anona has special interest in hill-billy and popular music. Her favorite sports include ice- skating, roller-skating, and swimming. Having completed the home economics course, Anona excels in both foods and clothing. Gay and carefree, she seems to enjoy life, yet she finds time for work as well as play. Aside from Bob's athletic ability he possesses a keen personality and a good sense of humor. Bob is co-treasurer of the Retail Selling Class. His sense of fair play and good sportsmanship will help him to excel in any held he chooses.

lk! 1 'V 7 SANDRA JEAN BA LLANCE Sandra attended two other high schools in California before coming to South Kingstown where she enrolled for her sen- ior year. Petite and attractive, she has a pleasing personality and a gracious man- ner. A diligent worker, she was on the committee for the senior Food Sale. At her previous schools she participated in the music club and the commercial arts club. Her favorite pastimes are swimming and dancing. Plans for the future include col- lege andsecretarial work in California. 1 5i,L,4,1,l4f ' MARTIN GENE BALLOU Martin, a considerate, quiet, and good- looking senior, is one of the most ambi- tious and industrious members of our class. ln his freshman year Marty played foot- ball. Although his interests are chiefly cars, he spends considerable time at Babcock's Boat Yard. ln his sophomore year Martin played in the school orchestra. His good- natured manner and subtle sense of humor have gained him many friends. Martin finds no favor too great or too small. K. in all her activities, Anne has been on the Baton Squad for four years, and during her senior year she was chosen as Drum Maiorette, Her typing ability has been of great value also, especially as a member of the Typing Staff of THE ANCHOR. Her pleasant smile and bubbling personality have won her many friends. In her freshman year she was a member of the Glee Club. During her four years at S. K., she has served on the Harvest Jamboree and the food sale committees. Sandra, an excellent commercial student, is very capable, efficient, and conscientious. She has elected home economics as an extra, for she has creative talent especially in fashion design. Her serene manner and sincere loyalty will always gain her many new friends. Easy going and genial, she is popular with everyone. Her hobbies are for the most part out-of-doors sports, such as swimming, tennis, and riding. Dianne plans to continue her education in the field of nursing, her thoughtful and sincere na- ture is a requisite for this career.

In addi- tion to being a good student she has had time to be secretary of the French Club, re- porter for The REBEL. a member of the Dramatics Club. An outstanding collection of blue ribbons is proof of her love of horses which she has shown at many horse- shows throughout New England. After graduation Cleone plans to enter lf.R.I. where she will study textiles and merchan- dising. LN A fx ,V V I jfpfaxlf-Q f J EVERETT ERNEST BRIGGS Quiet mannered Everett has won many friends with his shy, amicable smile. Tak- ing the general course for four years, Ever- ett was a member of the Future Farmers of America in his sophomore year. His hobbies include hunting, horseback rid- ing, and automobiles. Everett has a serious side, for he had a part time iob which required both industry and dependability. SARAH ELIZABETH BRIGGS Sarah, class vice-president in our sopho- more year, is both energetic and ambitious. Her warm smile and cordial greeting are characteristic of her friendly disposition. She has been active as a member of the Baton Corps and of the Glee Club, Her spare time is spent working at a local theater. At school she has had practical secretarial experience which will help her in her future career. Her favorite pastimes include dancing and chatting. An exuber- ant personality and an awareness of her responsibilities will make her a valuable secretary. DANIEL JOHN BROWN Danny, rugged tackle on the varsity foot- ball eleven, contributed to the success of the 195-I team. His sportsmanlike attitude on the field and in the classroom has made Danny one of our more popular class- mates, He is gifted with an affable nature distinguished by an intriguing smile. Tall and good looking. he enjoys basketball and baseball, Winrking at a summer resort gave him practical experience in the business field. Thoroughly likable, Danny has con- tributed his enthusiasm to many of our activities. DAVID LEE BROWN Although he seems quiet and reserved. Dave's carefree manner and friendly per- sonality have made him popular during his three years at S. K. Last year he entered the Science Fair and won a First Grant for his proyect on minerals from the sea. His numerous hobbies include collecting stamps. hunting. salt-water fishing. and cars.
