lk! 1 'V 7 SANDRA JEAN BA LLANCE Sandra attended two other high schools in California before coming to South Kingstown where she enrolled for her sen- ior year. Petite and attractive, she has a pleasing personality and a gracious man- ner. A diligent worker, she was on the committee for the senior Food Sale. At her previous schools she participated in the music club and the commercial arts club. Her favorite pastimes are swimming and dancing. Plans for the future include col- lege andsecretarial work in California. 1 5i,L,4,1,l4f ' MARTIN GENE BALLOU Martin, a considerate, quiet, and good- looking senior, is one of the most ambi- tious and industrious members of our class. ln his freshman year Marty played foot- ball. Although his interests are chiefly cars, he spends considerable time at Babcock's Boat Yard. ln his sophomore year Martin played in the school orchestra. His good- natured manner and subtle sense of humor have gained him many friends. Martin finds no favor too great or too small. K A ', . ox . fi LW ANNE MARIE BARBERA One of the smaller members of our class, Anne has the pep and the energy that make us wonder. Showing enthusiasm for S. K. in all her activities, Anne has been on the Baton Squad for four years, and during her senior year she was chosen as Drum Maiorette, Her typing ability has been of great value also, especially as a member of the Typing Staff of THE ANCHOR. From her experience working in the office, Anne has developed the poise and the con- fidence which coupled with her native a ilities will contribute to her success. g V441 Cgrmyf SANDRA LEE BARNETT A blonde, blue-eyed, attractive girl is Sandra. Her pleasant smile and bubbling personality have won her many friends. In her freshman year she was a member of the Glee Club. During her four years at S. K., she has served on the Harvest Jamboree and the food sale committees. Sandra, an excellent commercial student, is very capable, efficient, and conscientious. She has elected home economics as an extra, for she has creative talent especially in fashion design. Her serene manner and sincere loyalty will always gain her many new friends. We know that she will achieve SUCCESS. lynn lf ' .afslhfkv MARGUERITE DIANNE BAUR Dianne is tall and willowy, but she is a good athlete, especially fond of playing basketball. Easy going and genial, she is popular with everyone. Her hobbies are for the most part out-of-doors sports, such as swimming, tennis, and riding. Dianne plans to continue her education in the field of nursing, her thoughtful and sincere na- ture is a requisite for this career.

On the staff of the school newspaper for three years, Bob is Editor- in-chief of The REBEL this year. Many other activities such as dances and food sales have been successes because of his tireless efforts. He was a member of the S. K. Pades committee, co-chairman of the Halloween Hoot, and chairman of the junior Prom committee. K.'s outstanding basketball players, Augie is a star forward, but his speed and aggressiveness are invaluable to the team. He was our class president dur- ing our freshman and sophomore years. Active in many school affairs, he became interested in chess and was elected secre- tary-treasurer of the Chess Club in his junior year. A valuable member of the Glee Club for three years, she also sings in a church choir. A commercial student, Eve has also been Art Editor of The REBEL. In her spare time she likes to sew and cook, and also to collect salt and pepper shakers. Although Eve is undecided about her fu- ture, we are confident that she will find a pleasant career where her warm person- ality will make others happier for having known her. fic RV MARY JOANNE ATTERIDGE Joanne-petite, pretty, and vivacious- is one of our most enthusiastic cheer- leaders. Her pep is as contagious as her charming smile. Fashionable and smart, she is also conscientious as a student and responsible as a leader in our activities. Joanne is Editor of Sports and a member of the Literary Staff of THE ANCHOR. She was on the S. K. Pades and Harvest Jamboree committees. With her sincerity and sympathetic understanding, Joanne has endeared herself to all who know her. fc?'lA , I Y!! ' HARRIET EDITH BABCOCK Harriet is an attractive brunette. Her dark eyes flash a warm greeting as she strolls through the corridors and chats with her friends. She was selected to represent our school at the Girls' State convention. A member of the Baton Corps for four years, she has been consistently dependable. She has sung in the Girls' Glee Club and has taken an active part in many of our school affairs. A commercial student, she is con- scientious and reliable. Everyone likes Har- riet, for she is poised, gracious, and sincere.

Tall and good looking, he is popu- lar with everyone. Active in sports, John played baseball in his freshman year, bas- ketball and golf during his sophomore year, and baseball as a junior. He is also a sports fan and attends a variety of sporting events. A good commercial student, John is industrious and cooperative. We appre- ciate his efforts and loyalty. ROBERT LEON BOSS 'Z U ANONA ANN BOSS Red-haired, pleasant Anona is well known among her classmates. She has sung in the Glee Club for two years. Anona has special interest in hill-billy and popular music. Her favorite sports include ice- skating, roller-skating, and swimming. Having completed the home economics course, Anona excels in both foods and clothing. Gay and carefree, she seems to enjoy life, yet she finds time for work as well as play. Bob plays shortstop on the baseball team and halfback on the foot- ball team. Although he does not play bas- ketball, Bob is an eager and enthusiastic fan. Aside from Bob's athletic ability he possesses a keen personality and a good sense of humor. Bob is co-treasurer of the Retail Selling Class. His sense of fair play and good sportsmanship will help him to excel in any held he chooses.
