S0 LONG, SOUTH KINGSTOWN We were nervous little freshmen When first we heard the rules: The do's and don'ts the teachers gave Along with books and tools. As sophomores we knew the way And tried to do our best, But more than once we almost failed To pass that history test. Our junior year was better: We were upper classmen now, Our marks, too, were improving - lt was easier somehow. As we approached our senior year, We found that this was true: Soon we'd have to say good-bye To many friends we knew. REMEMBER Remember the fun and the laughter, Greeting each class and each friend? Remember the homework and studies, The tests that never would end? Remember the days we planned the dances? Remember those basketball games, The times that we went to the parties, The athletes who brought us fame? How can we ever forget them - These joys and these pleasures we've known! The teachers who carefully taught us, The effort and the guidance they've shown! They will stay in our hearts forever -- Long after we leave S.K.g Thank you for all you have taught us, For here we have found the way. As graduation time grew near, We thought of times gone by, Of friends and many memories That would never really die. We never shall forget the fun We'x'e had at S. K.
