IRENE ROSE MONAHAN A beautiful face ir a rilenz mmrnendatirmf' Red hair, blue eyes, and rosy cheeks in- troduce lrene. Although she is a loyal sup- porter at all S.K. sports events, baseball is her favorite sport. Genial and good-natured, Irene has been a faithful member of the Glee Club and the Retail Selling Club. After graduation Irene plans to become a Q 3 Y , vii., beautician. BESSIE CHARLENE MOODY It'J merry when friend: meet. Charlene gives everyone the impression of being reserved. Her conservative man- ner disappears, however, when she is with her friends. Among her favorite pastimes are dancing, horseback riding, bowling, and tennis. Charlene also finds time to work as an efficient, part-time telephone operator. 'i S+ Q A JANE FORBES MCCULLOUGH The only uuy to barfe a friend ir to be one. jane, with her bright eyes and cheerful smile, is one of the most likable members of the class. She has participated in the Dramatic Club and is a varsity cheerleader. Her job as a dental assistant will aid her in the future, for she plans to study hygiene at the Forsythe Dental School. JAMES WHITFORD NORMAN Reairm and judgment are the qualifier of a leader. As Editor-in-Chief of the REBEL and Photography Editor of the ANCHOR, jim has shown us the qualities of dependability and leadership. His favorite pastime is sports, and he has played baseball during his junior and senior years. In addition to these interests, jim aids his father in man- aging their chinchilla farm, from which he made a winning Science Fair project in his junior year. ROBERTA EVERETT O'BRIEN Happy am I: from cafe I'm free. ' Robin, one of our enthusiastic cheer leaders, came to us in her sophomore year from Narragansett. She has been an active member of the Narragansett Canteen. Robin's ready smile. friendliness, and nat- ural sympathy will help her in her chosen profession, nursing. One of S.K.'s top artists, Anne has proven her ability not only as Art Editor of the REBEL and the ANCHOR but also by her numerous poster creations. Besides achieving an excellent scholastic record, she has won several art scholarships and Science Fair grants. Anne made a hit with her delight- ful act in the S.K. Pades. Her co-operative ness, dependability, and genuine friendship will contribute to her success. WILFRED WILLIAM I.aRIVIERE, JR. The first duty of man is to speak. It's not lightning that announces Bill's arrival at schoolg it's only one of his many pairs of iridescent socks. An excellent ten- nis player, La Rive also enjoys model railroading as a hobby. A clever debator, Bill participated in the Model Congress, We shall always remember him for his fine characterization of Randolph in the play, A Date with Judy. 2 MARION ROBEY MARKHAM Silence is a hne jeirel for a woman. Marion is one of the quiet but industrious members of our class. She has been an active member of the French Club for the past two years. ln her spare time, Marion finds much pleasure in reading. Possessor of a fine school spirit, Marion is an ardent supporter at S.K. games. RICHARD DEAN MARTIN They are rich who have true friends. One of the quieter boys of our class, Dick is sincere in friendship and conscien- tious in his work. His accomplishments with the violin assure us of his ability in the field of music. Dick's entertaining at various P,T.A. meetings and the SK. Pades has been enioyed by all. His perseverance and co-operativeness are fine traits which will insure his success in the future. 'QQ' RICHARD FREDERICK MARTIN For knot: ledge is itself a power. Dick transferred to South Kingstown from Ward Senior High School in the middle of his senior year. Although he is one of the quiet members of our class, he possesses a friendly personality. Dic.l4's main interest revolves around mathematics. for he spends much of his time studying aviation and navigation. Dick is also a sportsman and enjoys fishing and hunting. '1 ri? -A ' '

4-...af i I1 'M ELIZABETH ANN PARISEAU Hail fellow, uell met. Betsy is one half of those vivacious twins. Her wit and pleasant chatter have made her a favorite among her classmates. Talking is one of Betsy's hobbies, and she possesses the unusual ability of being able to work and talk at the same time. An active mem- ber of the Baton Corps, Betsy is a depend- able worker on the REBEL stall and has contributed much to its success this year. MARY ALICE PARISEAU The muric thai can fleepert reach and cure all ill it cordial rpeechf' Mary Alice is the quieter member of that lively Pariseau duet. Although sympa- thetic by nature, she has a keen sense of humor and a sparkling personality. Allie will do anything for anybody. Besides being a member of the Baton Corps, she is an efhcient worker on the REBEL staff. JANE CAROLYN PARKER Modern ir the beauty of women. jane, one of the most modest members of our class, has been an active participant in school activities. A baton girl for four years, she has worked diligently on the REBEL and the ANCHOR. Besides her part-time job, Jane hnds time to enjoy her favorite sports, tennis and swimming. Janes sincere and sympathetic nature have made her popular. l ... 14 JOHN LAWRENCE PARTYKA JR And wguirb ir a blue eye. John, a handsome lad with twinkling blue eyes, appears to be quiet, but his ex- pression of innocence conceals a mischie- vous nature. john's main interest in life is agriculture, and he has proved to be a capable farmer. A lover of the outdoors, john spends much of his time studying A A forestry. JOSIE FRANCES PRESCOTT Variety alone gizer jog. Josie is one of our most witty classmates. As co-captain of the cheerleaders, she has shown her enthusiasm and agility at all S.K. games. A member of the REBEL stall and of the ANCHOR staff, jo has dis- played her co-operation and ambitious na- ture. For her vivacity, she was chosen a member of the court at the Alumni enter- tainment in her junior year. .1
