JAMES WEDESWEILER Courage and perrezferance conquer all before tbemf' Soft brown eyes and a warm heart have won jimmy many true friends. An active mem- ber of the football team for two years, jimmy commutes to school or to practice on his red motor scooter. His studies have taken up much of his time except for his hobby, fishing. He is an authority con- cerning the sea, his greatest interest. SYLVIA ANN WHITTIER Surly joy ambition finds. Sylvia's natural demeanor is free from care and is bright- ened by her sparkling smile. As cheerleader for two years, she has shown us her pep, ac- tivity, and enthusiasm. Sylvia has proved her dependability as an officer in the Rainbow in which she is active. Eflicient and effective, Sylvia will be a competent secretary. :D . J ,, . 1 fl' 'ia :rl 'i PRISCILLA ANN WHITE Sympathy, a golden key un- locking the hearty of oll9er.r. Priscilla, our junior Prom Queen, is an active and consci- entious member of the Baton Corps. She has been an ener- getic supporter of our teams and school affairs. Priscilla has a great love of horses and is a skilled equestrienne. Her cheerful personality and blonde loveliness are assets which will contribute to her success. RAYMOND WRIGHT, JR. Good tlaingr require lime. Ray is one of our more ath- letic classmates, playing both basketball and baseball. He spends much of his time with a group known as the Brown Bombers. Light-hearted and gay, he talks sports day and night, yet he finds time to help the Retail Selling Club. Ray, with his courteous, easy- going manner, is very depend- able and gets things done. He is eflicient in the classroom as well as on the diamond. He has been an active member of the foot- ball, baseball, and basketball teams and is Literary Editor of THE ANCHOR. john is a line combination of natural talents with just the right amount of tact, diplomacy, and polish. MARTIN D. SCHWAN The whole earth ir the brave man'J country. Martin, our Junior class president, is quick, witty, and sparkling. Skip, a sports en- thusiast, played on the basket- ball and baseball teams. He was active in many school affairs including THE REBEL and the youth canteen. les rw, -Av' bl CAROLYN R. STAUFFER A fmife lo each, a friend to all. Carolyn, with blonde hair and blue eyes, is very friendly and po'lite. Her reserved man- ner can not conceal her de- lightful sense of humor and love of a good time. Her hard work and dependability have earned her the vice-presidency of the local 4-H Club. Among her other accomplishments, she plays an excellent game of tennis and keeps an expanding coin collection. Carolyn's past records show that whatever she does, she does well. JEAN ESTELLE TAYLOR Laugh and lla? u'm'fdf,111glJr willy you. Jean, the artist of our class, demonstrates her exceptional talent not only as Art Editor of THE ANCHOR but also in her many posters and cartoons. Small but vivacious, Jean has been an active member of the cheerleaders for two years. She has been an enthusiastic sup- porter of our games, and her explosive giggle has often given us moments of delight. Jean wants to attend an art school JANINE A. ST. GERMAIN Good llaingr rome in nrzall pafkagerf' A stunning blonde, dramatic in manner, Janine has gained many friends by her sincerity and tact. Her ability to get things done can readily be seen in her various activities. Captain of the cheerleaders, she is also a member of the Dramatic Club. As an Editor of THE ANCHOR, Janine has shown dependability and co- operation. CECIL SHERDON TIBBITS A gezilfeman maker no nuiref' Quiet, reserved, but well liked, Sherdon has a ready wit and a pleasing nature. A busi- ness man, Sherdon helps his father operate their potato farm. Cars are a hobby which occupies a good deal of his time. XX'henever there are stock car races, you are certain to find Sherdon among the en- thusiasts. RUSSELL L. STREETER The future belongr ia him who knouxr farm' la unit. Russell, distinguished by his quiet, courteous manner, is a thorough gentleman and al- ways is willing to lend a help- ing hand. He has belonged to the Aggie Club for four years. Among Russe1l's interests are stock car racing and hunting. Russell finds great pleasure in traveling and plans to serve his country as a member of the Air Force. ROBERT C. TRAYNOR, JR. Honey men fear not light or zz'.11'k. One of the quietest members of our class, Bob has a pleas- ant smile and an affable man- ner.
