LE X 121 111 S W E Later on ln the year there vyas a serles of parties held at Sand H111 Coye and each one was very enjoyable but thus far ue haye not mentloned anythlng but socral eyents l et us now conslder somethmg coneernxng the xx ork of the class It has always been the custom at S K for each class to haye class r1ngs and class pms but vue vsent thls custom one better Many of the gurls had thelr plns made mto pendants thus achleyrng a yery drstlnctlye effect By thls tlme we could all see that ln order to haye partles ue had to have money so vye planned a Brldge Vvlhlst and Dance yy h1ch was gryen May ll 1932 and proy ed very successful especrally from a financial polnt of vrew It was 1n thls year also that vye chose our class song 'Vlany tunes were suggested but we finally declded upon The Song of the Vagabonds as the tune to use Robert Su eet and PCOUFIL Sassl dld a yery outstandlng piece of work rn composmg the vsords and ue have our masterplece called Thirty Three A short trme later Mrs Stedman vs as agaln krnd enough to plan and help us grve another Maybasket party for Mlss Cummlngs In splte of many sl1ps of the tongue MISS CUmm1HgS dxd not suspect any thlng and was agam greatly surpr1sed The games and storxes were enjoyable and the glrls deserve credlt for preparlng such wonderful food We now come to the most rmportant part of our four years The Sen 1or year IS alvy ays the best and ey eryone expects SCHIOIS to have the most rxghts and pr1v1leges or at least the Senlors do One of the greatest thmgs that any class has ever planned was our tr1p to Boston There were n1ne cars ln all and vue stayed together all the way Much credxt 1S due Mr Conlon because we followed hlm and he surely was a good leader We started at n1ne o clock and planned to go through Sudbury ln order to stop at Mr Ford s Waysrde Inn We stopped on the way hoyy ever at Pur gatory Chasm and thoroughly explored th1s unusual formatlon of rocks After spendmg about an hour here we continued to Sudbury and after eatmv our lunches were shown through the lnn A young lady accompanred us and very mterestmgly expla1ned every part of xt 1n deta1l We then started for Boston and Went to the Metropolltan Opera House where We Wltnessed a very dellght ful performance At th1s pomt the party broke up and each one went home rn vs hatever drrectlon he wlshed Some stopped at varrous dmers and danced whlle others declded to see another movle One car went through the Brown campus on the way home gettrng there just m tlme to see the ylctorlous football play' ers returnmg from Yale and thus havmg a chance to see a real vrctory bonfire The next mormng no one was reported mlssmg so the tr1p was successful ln eyery deta1l At Chrlstmas vxe gaye a surprlse party for our honorary member at the home of I-lrlda Northup In spite of the dlsagreeable yn eather nearly everyone attended and we all had a great deal of fun The Chnstmas play A Table Set for Hlmself was repeated th1s year be1ng gn en on two successxye nxghts for parents and frlends of the Senrors and Junlers Under Vlrs Drckermwn s able d1rect1on the vshole thmg xx as carrled out very successfully On Semor nrght the School Orchestra played durlng the arrrval of the guests Then Donald Thackeray made a short speech of welcome and lntroduced Mrs Dlckerman vyho expla1ned brrefly the play After the entertamment the buxldmg was open for lnspectron 0 r .-1 l .
