The most important and also the most eagerly awaited event of this school year has been the completion of the new Library. The important buildings at South Kent are the best buildings. First came the Harmar Brown Infirmary, then the St. Michael's Chapel, and now the Library. There is only one word which really describes the Library and that is - wonderful. No one who so much as walked through the Old Library can help but be thankful for the new Library building. Above is a picture taken in the fall term just after the outside of the building was completed. Below is a picture of the main reading room looking east into the librarian's office and towards the magazine rack. The door leads to the coat room and lobby.
