Mr. South Junior High School 1979-80 The title of Mr. South Junior High went to Johnny Haun. He was nominated by the faculty and elected by the student body. Johnny has been active in sports dur- ing his three years at South. He was the co-captain of the football team and was a starter on the basketball team. At the sports banquet Johnny was recognized for his selection to the All City Football Team. In addition to sports he was involved in chorus activities. Classes 83

Miss South Junior High School 1979-80 The honor of becoming Miss South Junior High went to Julie Watson. Julie was first nominated by the faculty and elected by the student body. Julie is on the Girls Basketball Team, one of the star volleyball players, and a cheerleader. During the year she participated in many clubs e Chorus, Y-Teens, Builderts Club, and Honor Society. In addition to school work Julie competes in twirling contests, and over the summer she won the title of Miss Majorette 0f the South. 82 Classes
