Builderts Club Organized in the spring of 1979, the Builder's Club was sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Knoxville. Members were selected by the Principal Mr. Under- wood and the appointed advisor Mr. Jones, with the faculty members approving the membership. The club sponsored the Back to School Dance held after the first football game and numerous service projects. 6M NJHS Inducts Thirty At the beginning of the year a group of students who had maintained a 3.4 grade average were in- ducted into the National Junior Honor Society. With thirty new members the group membership totaled sixty. Under the leadership of Mrs. Marietta Webb the group planned an eventful year. Members alternated the responsibility of raising and lower- ing the flag each day. In the spring they planned to paint the Rocket and to buy an electric Eraser Dus- ter for the faculty.
